Sacred Romance

This week i have been reading, "Sacred Romance" by, John Eldridge, so good! If you haven't read it you should it's totally worth it! It is talking about how God has written for us a sacred romance, scripted by him just for us. The author refers to the gospels as the romance that God has created for us. He makes the point that throughout the stories there are moments of loss, suffering and even joy and even through all that he is still romancing us. Eldridge says--"Indeed when we consider how central a part Job was given in the drama God was directing, we are confronted with the reality that we, too, could be in the same position. It seems that the part God has written for us is much too big and certainly too dangerous. Paul confirms this thought in Ephesians when he tells us, "The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christs body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence"-(1:22-23, The message). (pg 51-52)
God is the author of the story of our heart and daily he is romancing our heart so that we may fall more deeply in love with him. amen. My prayer is that i would continue to fall more deeply in love with God with each passing day, each passing moment...because you know..he love you and i more than we can even imagine!
