Courageous Action

My devotional today talked about sacrifice here's what it had to say,
"What we failed to understand was that a life incapable of significant sacrifice is also incapable of courageous action"-Urban T. Holmes the third.
"The profundity of the above sentence always strikes me when i read it in A Guide to prayer for ministers and other servants each year, but it's particularly cutting this morning for some reason. I hear and stand convicted-convicted of my inability and unwillingness to sacrifice"-Sarah Arthur
It talked about when people really show integrity and self sacrifice we are almost intimidated because we cannot handle all of our weaknesses spilling out all over. It's interesting how when our weakness's are displayed all out there for others to see we get uncomfortable, i can be the first one to say that i have dealt with that. It's hard when we know that others can see right through our so called "act". but in the midst of our points of weakness God is there to hold our hand and tell us that everything will be okay. So soak up  Phillippians 2:12-16...
"Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,  for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain"
