2nd Timothy 2:15- Personal best.

2nd Timothy 2:15 says, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no  need to be ashamed rightly explaining the word of truth." For my small group tonight i have to memorize this verse and as i was reading it in my bible, i was thinking about how everyday we should glorify God in everything that we say and do.  When the verse says, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, it really puts into perspective for me that even though you and i may not be perfect, God just wants personal best, it's just like running a race if you give it your all and put forth all your energy then you will be successful even though it will be painful and hard at times and you may hit the wall at the last 100 yards. But if you just push a little farther than you will be at the finish line and all the pain and suffering will be over. It's just like being in relationship with God, if we push a little farther and give him our all, even though their might be some struggles along the way, we will grow from those struggles and keep running along the path with God. So i encourage you to keep running toward God, even if your life feels like it's falling apart. Just know that God wants your personal best!
