My best Friend shared this devotional with me last night that was talking about, when God calls us to do something and we just aren't sure or were scared of what he's getting us into. Ephesians 2:10 says--"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ
Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." This verse reminds us that we are his masterpiece, his work of art that he created to do things that he had planned before we even knew about them. He uses each and every one of us for his glory, not our own. Remember that as you go throughout your weekend, rest in the fact that YOU are God's masterpiece.
Here's a little snippet from the devotional--
• Humble your heart before the Lord.
Humility is necessary for a teachable heart. To discover our calling,
we must set aside our agendas and surrender to God's. We cannot have a
predetermined plan and then invite God to complete it. We need to ask,
"What are You calling me to do right here and now?"
• Examine your life experiences and current circumstances.
God uses life experiences (family, education, vocation, spiritual
gifts, trials, etc.) to mold, train, and equip us. Sometimes what we
want to hide - the horrible trials we want to forget - are the very
things God wants to use the most.
