Rooted In Christ.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness"--Colossians 2:6-7

I was reading a devotional on these verses today  and i was reminded of the importance of growing in our faith. Without growth, we wouldn't be able to withstand the storms of life, we would be knocked over unable to pick ourselves up off the ground. It's important that each day we strive to seek a heart more like God's and be renewed by the grace that he so lovingly provides for each and every one of us.

Here's a little snippet from the devotional--

"Our roots need to continue their growth.  We need to, each day, spend time and seek a heart more like His.  Not so that we can wake up better, that would be a lie, but to wake up each morning renewed by His grace and made more beautiful by His mercies."How Deep Are Your Roots?, She reads truth.com

So i encourage you as you go throughout your week, to remember the importance of growing in your faith and to stand firm in the roots that God provides for us all. To stand firm in his unfailing love, and to know that his mercies are new every morning.
