Out of the ashes

"The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see"-Hebrews 11:1 (the message) . I was reading a devotional today that i get in my email and it mentioned this verse, it tugged at my heart and reminded me that trusting in God is so important. Especially when we are going through a rough time or just don't know what to do next. In those times of suffering, pain, or uncertainty, we burn into the ashes...but God is right there to pick us up out of the ashes and make something beautiful out of them. Out of the dust in our lives, God makes beautiful things. He uses that dust to help us grow closer to him. To form us into the godly men/women that we are called to be. As the verse says, our faith is our handle on what we can't see. He takes what sometimes we fail to see and makes it beautiful. This is definitely something that I have learned this past year, that no matter what God is right there picking us out of the ashes in our lives and making them into something beautiful. So remember that no matter what you are going through, God will pick you up out of the ashes and make them into something beautiful.

Isaiah 61:3 says--"to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.."
