Glory to the One who made you

Today as  i was listening to Steven Curtis Chapman's song--Everything you do. I thought of this verse and how we as Christians are called to do everything to the glory of God. The song says---"Do everything you do, to the glory of the one who made you..." This made me think of my own life, i must admit that sometimes i have a bad attitude about things, especially those things that i do not want to do or don't enjoy doing. I try to keep the attitude of i am doing this to the glory of God, yet sometimes i fail at this but in the end he's right there to set me straight and turn my attitude around. If we all kept the attitude that everything little thing we do weather we like it or not is to the glory of God and not us....because in reality he's the one who should get the credit, not us. It doesn't matter if we are working with kids everyday or scooping poop in a horse stable on a farm...whatever it is, Do everything to the glory of the one who made you. Even when you may feel like giving up...just go grab your bible and soak up this verse and do everything to the glory of the one who made you!

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him--Colossians 3:17

"Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. none of this going off and doing it on your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the word of Christ--the message--have the run of the house.Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God. Let every detail in your lives---words, actions, whatever--be done in the name the master, Jesus, thanking God the father every step of the way"--(the message version)
