Living the Scriptures

Colossians 3:15-17
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

My devotional the other day was talking about this verse and it made me think of all of those moments in our lives when we have twenty different things to do and you just keep worrying about them. You know what I'm talking about...stressful, sleepless nights, just praying that we pass that test...get time to finish our homework or something else. It's in these times when we pray for peace. through all the chaos we just want peace. As Colossians 3:15 says--"Let the peace of Christ in rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace."  Because with God, you have peace. He's right there telling you that if you trust in him everything will work out. [see Isaiah 26:3]
" But the only way that peace would be real is if i invited the author of the story--The Prince of Peace himself--to embed his words in my heart like a living a living seed"-Sarah Arthur.
