Splendor

 As i read this verse that was at the bottom of my devotional today it made me think of "God's splendor". Especially the last part of the verse which says--"worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness...." As i read that part i just sat back and thought about God's splendor and what it means to worship God in the splendor of his holiness...those words carry a lot of power. When i think about worship, i think about God's holiness...his power, the fact that he is all i need and in that moment he is right there beside me listening to me worship. Then i thought about what my devotional was talking about the other day, and how when the people started to worship in the middle of that college campus people started to make comments or stare at them in disbelief that they were actually doing that...right there at that moment for everyone to see. That right there made me think of this verse. not only were they telling people about him, they  were showing others what an amazing, all powerful God that they serve....amen to that! My prayer is that every time that i worship, i would worship him in the splendor of his holiness. so go, grab your bible and soak up this verse and worship him in the splendor of his holiness. Amen!

Sing to the LORD, all the earth;
   proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
   his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
  For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
   he is to be feared above all gods.
 For all the gods of the nations are idols,
   but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
   strength and joy are in his dwelling place.
 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations,
   ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.  Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
   bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
  Tremble before him, all the earth!
   The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.- 1 Chronicles 16:23-30
