Reflecting God's Glory

As i was reading Waking the Dead by John Eldridge for my Core 300 class, something just hit as I was reading  the chapter in the book that was talking about the glory hidden in your heart. Eldridge says that we are in the process of being unveiled, that we are created to reflect God's glory, and that we are born to bear his image. He also talks about how every heart was given a mythic glory and that glory is being restored, so that we may become fully alive! I thought it was interesting how he has this point, that God created us for his glory. He asks the question, how do we bring God glory when we are sulking around in the cellar, weighed down by shame and guilt, hiding our light under a bushel? Eldridge goes on to say that our destiny is to become fully alive and let people see our true self and all that we offer. What really hit me was when he was describing how we as christians sometimes hide behind all the masks we put on and not very many people get to see our true selfs, we be who we think we should be not what we really are. So i encourage you, to become fully alive and take off the mask that so many of us wear and let people see your true glory :)
