Fully Human

Today my devotional was talking about Jesus being fully human here's what it had to say...
Jesus, so often I lose sight of you as a real human being, I fail to think of personally and specifically, with a face and hands and feet, a voice, a smile, a laugh, a manner of speech particular to you. The new testament offers no descriptions of your physical appearance, unlike your ancestor David, who was described as "dark and handsome, with beautiful eyes" (1 Samuel 16:12); which leads me to believe that you were rather ordinary in appearance, maybe even forgettable. And yet you were recognized by hundreds and followed by thousands, and eventually you could go nowhere openly. Picturing your face, imagining your voice, helps me experience grace as a tangible person who sits down at the table and looks me in the eye. I don't ever want to forget you. Amen. -Sarah Arthur
This got me thinking about how so often we can forget that God is even there because we can't see him physically. We should remember that even though we can't see him he is always there, no matter what. Always there to comfort us in our pain, joy, or sorrow. There to wrap his arms around us and tell us it's going to be okay. I don't know about you, but i think that's pretty great! So good! Think about that...the God of the universe is always there for us even when we feel like he's not...he still is. Amen!
Hebrews 2:14-15 says....
14 "Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death."

Read this devotional by Leslie Ludy, so good!
