Hope.

As i continue reading Irresistible Revolution, My heart breaks for what this world has made Christianity and it rejoices for the people who are risking it all for Jesus. In the book he was talking about how he went to Iraq for a month and served the Iraqi people. One of the things that touched me most about it was a story he told about when he was leaving Iraq and him and his team got into a car accident because a roadside bomb went off near their van. Some Iraqi people stopped to help them, they piled them all into their crowded car and took them to the hospital. But they ended up not being able to to go to the hospital because it had been bombed earlier in the week, so the doctors set up a makeshift clinic and took care of them like they were family. When they asked if they resented them because they were Americans the Iraqi people answered "no we will take care of you like you are, are brothers and sisters because that is what Jesus did."  This really touched my heart that people who were in the midst of terrible war conditions, overflowed with love for God and his Children. It also broke my heart because there are so many people who are so unwilling to just love people, regardless of who they are. I know this isn't easy, but it's what were called to do. As i thought about this, it made me think of Isaiah 40:31 which says:
"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."- Isaiah 40:31
